I used to read a lot more fiction but have moved into more non-fiction/sociology/self-improvement over the past few years. My Uncle F is always giving me books to read as he flies through them too.
I try to read as many of them as I can but sometimes I pass them on without having had the time to enjoy them. When he loaned me this one, and he made sure to be clear it was a loan, he said that I was really going to like it and it was an absolute page turner. He was correct.
Robin Cook was a doctor before he became an author and from the very first pages of Marker I could see why he is called the master of the medical thriller. If you like your mystery/thrillers with a touch of science and good bit of medical terminology- this is your guy.
The story was full of details and information but it still carried you forward with plenty of pull to keep it interesting. When he handed it over, my Uncle described this book as a page turner and I agree. I will be reading more of Robin Cook’s work very soon.
